Diana Alva

Diana Alva was born in Detroit, Michigan. She studied ceramics at Wayne State University before owning and operating the Detroit Clay Company. As a painter her commitment to ceramics opened up new ways of seeing line, color and form. Painting has always been a strong part of her creative life, learning mostly from her father, then on her own.
