Daniel Geanes, also known as Eccentric Danny, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Detroit. Geanes' artwork serves as an introspective of social issues in inner cities, media propaganda, and identity through portraiture. Vibrant colors are essential to Geanes' work; he uses them as a means to provide contrast amongst dark subjects and captive viewers. In addition to color, Geanes uses recurring figures in his work, such as his trademark character, ECNTRC™️. This character reflects the artist’s individually as well as their perception of the world.
