Clinton Snider
Clinton Snider was born In Oklahoma in 1969, and moved to Detroit in ’72, where he has lived and worked. He honed in on his interest for the urban American landscape after moving downtown to attend the College for Creative Studies in the early 90’s, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Art. His work examines issues of social and environmental transformation in rural and postindustrial landscapes.
Clinton has exhibited works throughout Metro Detroit, Nationally and Internationally including the Detroit Institute of Arts, The Cranbrook Art Museum, and The Kunstwerker in Berlin. He has been represented by The Susanne Hilberry Gallery, and his works are part of many public and private collections, including The Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Kresge Foundation.
